Andy & Cindy Wallen

Guitar & Violin Teachers

Andy and Cindy Wallen are a wonderful addition to our staff. They are co-worship directors at The Gathering Church in Moravian Falls.

Andy was raised in West Virginia and received a BA in music Education from West Liberty University. He studied classical guitar performance and composition at Shennandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, VA. We are excited about this very experienced guitar teacher and educator joining us at Studio3.

Andy met Cindy while she was serving as the Concert Mistress in the Shenandoah Symphony. She received a performance scholarship to Indiana State University and played with the Terre Haute Symphony and many chamber and church groups. Cindy, a seasoned and creative violinist, has brought her enthusiasm to our school. We have received a double blessing with the Wallens!

Rachel Palmer

Rachel Palmer exemplifies one of the values we hold at Studio3 which is mentoring young musicians as they become proficient in their instrument.

Rachel Palmer is our first student teacher and has studied under Kathy Estes for seven years.

She plays first stand in the Western Piedmont Youth Symphony, the Celtic Christmas Concert and several community performances all year long.

Rachel is a talented young teacher and we are glad to have her!
